WHOSE SIDE ARE YOU ON?

James 4:1-10
As in the early days when the people recognized the Voice of God, so is it with Him STILL TALKING to us today. But the busyness of our daily lives blurred us from hearing His voice. His WORD is His VOICE. He even uses circumstances, people, ordinary people, and even ordinary things just to talk to us now. We became very concerned in our daily activities. In our daily tasks and needs. We became very occupied with going on our own ways. Mostly good and sadly some - bad . But the enemy of the "Best" isn't "Bad" only. Sometimes the enemy of "Best" is "Good". It hinders us from doing the "Best". And the BEST is to "Seek FIRST His Kingdom". If only we will seek Him first when we first open our eyes every morning. Then the devil will immediately flee from us and the Lord will exult us. And this is not just a verse in the Bible. It is His promise, His Word. And His Word is truth. It is alive. And what He promised - He does.
"So submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you of two minds." James 4: 7-10
Satan's biggest lie is that he doesn't exist. And his ploy are the very sugar coated lures and lies: our very productive work, our successful lives, our victories, our families, our dreams, our promotions, our struggles, our talents, our problems, our sicknesses, our many concerns about our future, our uncertainties and anxieties. And All of these aren't altogether bad. Addressing these concerns makes us very responsible persons even. But if these preoccupied us, it then separates us from our source of power. Like a light bulb that was unplugged from the power outlet there will be darkness. So let us at all times be plugged to the SOURCE OF LIGHT.
Seek Him in prayer, in all our activities and even when we rest. A prayer need not be always lengthy.
A sigh of "Thank You Lord" is a prayer.
Our work when we offer it to Him, "Lord help me here in my work" is a prayer.
Our joys, "Celebrate with me Lord" is a prayer.
Our problems and concerns and fears, "Lord help!" is a prayer.
Our puniest daily activity when offered to Him is a prayer.
And as He promised, whenever and whatever we submit to Him, the devil flees from it and He exults us.
"Seek first His Kingdom, and everything will be added unto us."
So let us be in a culture of God worshippers by recognizing Him in our lives! In all circumstances, whatever the circumstances, good or bad, submit to Him who is the TRUE SOURCE of LIGHT, THE CONQUEROR, OUR PROVIDER, HEALER, MERCIFUL, PRINCE OF PEACE, COUNSELLOR, OUR SAVIOUR!
It's simple: "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you." And that's His promise.
And with God by our side, what can we not conquer?
Let the Lord reign!
